BACK TO SCHOOL

Today, many of our family and friends' children returned to school this morning in Michigan.  Many were posting photos on Facebook.  Today, we also went to school.  We delivered food thru Feed the Hungry, San Miguel de Allende, to the La Campana (The Bell) School.  Two weeks ago, we went with our friend Eli so he could show us the route.  Today we were subbing for Eli.  We can't believe how different the route looked.  We have had a lot of rain lately and the road was very muddy.  We are glad we went with Eli.  We are not sure we would have found the correct turns with all of the rain.  The designated landmarks looked different.

As soon as we got to the school, the same little boy we saw two weeks ago came up to the car to help us unload the food and supplies.  He didn't hesitate.  He wanted to help.  We spoke to him in Spanish; however, he did not say anything.  We never heard him speak a word.  Was he shy?  Can he talk?  Was our Spanish that bad?  We will have to return another day to find the answer.

We noticed that the countryside seemed to be greener.  We also noticed some wild flowers that were beginning to bloom.  We learned two new Spanish word today:  lodo (mud) or lodoso (muddy).  And our car was full of it.

Enjoy the pictures.
